The Department of Toxic Substances Control has released a long-anticipated draft of a set of regulations that will implement the major portion of the state's green chemistry law and program. The regulations contain a detailed step-by-step process for uncovering products deemed to be unsafe due to their inclusion of designated "chemicals of concern" followed by a required analysis of alternatives by the product's manufacturer that could lead to a ban on the sale of the product in California. |
